I have been making some great progress on my green sweater and I wanted to share that progress with you! Above you see the front and back of my sweater in progress. Below is a close up with a more accurate version of the color.
I have actually had this yarn for several years and attempted to make a different cardigan with it but after many false starts and discovering almost three years later that there was errata in the pattern, I gave up and tried a different pattern. Once this sweater is done it will be a boat neck sweater and I am so excited to see the final result!
I also want to share a little knitting victory with you:
I finally managed to score a skein of Wollmeise! For those of you not in the know Wollmeise is a German company who hand dyes highly sought after yarn that is only sold in one shop in America. The Loopy Ewe, a favorite of mine, sells this gorgeous yarn and there is a bit of madness to the process because within minutes of the yarn going up for sale, it is gone. You have to rush, pick what you want, and place your order before anyone else. I have seen their entire stock sold in three minutes flat. So getting this yarn is not only exciting, it’s special! I can’t wait to pick just the right pattern and make some gorgeous highly detailed socks out of this stuff!
Reminds me of some handwoven wraps I know. You have to stalk their pages and have quick fingers or they are sold within minutes. It’s just crazy! Can’t wait to see the finished piece!
Love the colors of the yarn. I love boat neck shirts so I can’t wait to see how this turns out!
Great progress on the sweater. I’m infamous for starting a project and not finishing it. Kudos to you for keeping at it until you found just the right thing to make w your yarn. And score on the beautiful Woolmeise! Do you know what that will turn into yet?
