I just found a book with 30 projects that all use 100g or less of yarn per pattern! The book is titled Knit Under 100 Collection and the examples given are fantastic. Of course, they only show a handful of the projects but there are bags, hats, mittens, socks, and shawls all present and accounted for. My biggest non-exercising goal for next year is to craft more and I think this book would be an excellent gateway to that goal!
In addition, I have been baking all sorts of interesting things today in preparation for a New Years Eve party and I was reminded of a tradition The Yarn Harlot once brought up on her blog, which was to get all your “houses” in order before the new year begins. This means cleaning your house, making sure all your bills are paid, and any other odds and ends that may hold you back. I truly like this tradition because it starts you off with a clean slate. Of course, I have been packing and cleaning for days and there seems to be no end in sight. Perhaps, I would accomplish more with a bit of coffee in my system. Wish me luck!
Have a safe and happy new years everyone!
