Recently, I read a post by The Yarn Harlot about this amazing funky plaid scarf she wove. She has a loom and she took pictures and she couldn’t stop ranting and raving about how total it only took five hours to make an incredible brown plaid tweed scarf. Now, I will be the first to admit that I have a thing for plaid and knitting something plaid doesn’t always look right. Argyle looks okay knit but plaid always looks a little funky to me. Then I started following the link she gave for the loom she bought and I found one on the same site for arounf $75 and I thought to myself, “Self, you could do that. You could buy yourself and cheap loom (or check ebay) and make some awesome plaid scarves.” Now, I have not followed through on this yet, but with my impending experiment, I was thinking “Wouldn’t being able to knit, weave, and spin be a boon to my situation?”
More as the obsession developes.
