This is my new friend Shadow. He came home with me on Saturday. He’s about 6 or 7 years old and is very affectionate. He thinks our staircase is the greatest thing since sliced bread and loves to cuddle. His previous owners couldn’t keep him because they got him from a friend and already had a dog, but poor Shadow is deathly afraid of their dog. They didn’t think it was fair to either animal that they would have to walk around on egg shells in their own house. So I stepped in and answered their ad in Craigslist.
Additionally, I’ve started work on a mitered square blanket (from Mason-Dixon Knitting) for my sister and I’ve done almost 11 squares for it. 11 down 69 to go. LOL. It’s a mammoth task (the biggest thing I’ve ever knit) but it’s going to be worth it. I’m using KnitPicks CotLin because I couldn’t justify sending a wool blanket to Texas! The yarn is a blend of 70% Tanguis Cotton, 30% Linen. Perfect for the colder weather in Texas but not so heavy I’d turn my poor sister into a puddle. Thanks to this giant project I haven’t been working on anything else, but I’ll be dog sitting at my boyfriend’s parents’ house and I’ll be bringing at least three of my projects on my to do list with me.
More to come!
